Composition

Rule of Thirds : If you used a gird or cut it in thirds, each piece would be symmetrical.

Simplicity: The frame is completely filled with the rib cage and doesn't have any dead space.

Good Lighting & Focus : The french horn is showing good light by reflecting on the white paper and its focused on the horns body.

Leading Lines : The lines that the crayons are in attract your eyes so it leads your eyes around the image.

Emphasize Height & Distance :  It shows more sky than ground and the horizon is in the lower half in the frame.

Multiple Objects :  There's multiple objects all intertwined with each other.

Emphasize Foreground : There is more ground than sky. It shows the meeting line between sky and ground in the middle of the frame.

Photography Artist Reflection :

When I was working on the project , I used the PowerPoint for reference when working. When I would take photos, I would try to think of whether this picture is what i wanted or is apart of composition. I tried to get each of the parts of composition by referencing and looking at examples of those parts. I believe my strongest photo is "Good Lighting & Focus" compared to "Emphasize Foreground" which is my weakest photo. I think for "Emphasize Foreground" I could've done it better and there was white in the sky and i don't believe its flattering. I could've edited it to turn the brightness down, and change some of the colors vibrancy. The "Good Lighting & Focus" I thought is had good focus and it had good lighting to show all the parts of the instrument. I believe i put a lot of effort into this project and if i could change the process i would change how many photos i took so i had more options.

  1. I like the first picture because the lighting makes it so that the main focus is the skull. I like the simplicity picture cause part of it is blurred out but part of it isn't. The only thing I would say is that the simplicity picture is kinda dark.

  2. I really like the multiple object picture, the lighting is really good. The only thing I would say to fix is the rule of thirds because the skeleton isn't really on the left or right of the grid, it's in the middle.

  3. like the first photo because it has a lot of detail on the teeth and the rest of the face. also the side lighting makes the photo more detailed and shows texture which makes it looks good.

  4. Your pictures for Rule of Thirds, Emphasize H&D, Emphasize FG are incorrect. Fix to raise grade.

Levels for image 1, 2, and 6 were not checked. First 2 don't have any white and 6 does not have black in the image. ALWAYS check your levels. Fix to raise grade.

Compositions are good! Glad you got close to objects.

  5. I really like the first photo, there is good lighting which allows to be focused, but on the other hand it does not represent the rule of third view the image is in the middle when it should be more on the left or more on the right so that the image is between the intersection of the horizontal and vertical lines of the grid. Then we could say that this image represents the rule of third
